Dundas Kid features a fully enclosed cabin, rest room facilities, and a 64 square foot rear deck for fighting your prized fish. Dundas Kid will give you confidence and piece of mind, as you travel safely through the toughest conditions to get to the prime fishing locations. Have we mentioned the fishing yet? Unlike boats built for tropical fishing, Dundas Kid was built with salmon fishing in mind. Our gear is top of the line. Rods, reels, and tackle have been selected to maximize fishing performance, and enjoyment for all targeted fish species. You will fight salmon with 10’6, sensitive, mooching rods, so that you will feel every run and head shake as you do battle. “Knuckle buster” single action reels are the traditional way to fight these prized salmon. If you are unfamiliar with this exciting way to fight salmon, your experienced guide will give you as much instruction as you will need. Definitely worth a try. For more novice fisherman, level wind reels are provided. Halibut fishing is a whole different ball game: Tough is the key to this exciting fishery! Halibut rods are short and tough, and the line is extremely strong, in order to catch these giants of the bottom. Circle hooks will be used in order to minimize damage to the Halibut, in the event you may like to release a large Halibut, after a few photos of course.
